The CVProfilor® for physicians Because cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, advances in its early detection and management are critical. New technology that allows physicians to assess cardiovascular disease risk before symptoms become apparent has the power to save lives and greatly reduce healthcare costs. Advanced technology is now available specifically for clinical use in the assessment of patients' potential risk of cardiovascular disease. The CVProfilor® System was developed with current cardiovascular disease issues in mind, providing physicians with new patient-specific data regarding arterial health. Test results, in printed and graphical form, can be
referenced within minutes after completion of this FDA-cleared test. This test can be done easily, non-invasively, and
at no specific medical risk to
patients, greatly assisting physicians in the assessment of cardiovascular disease. |

Current
technology in Initial screening for vascular disease usually involves the use of an upper-arm blood pressure cuff device, which has been employed since the 1890's. This method can provide some information, yet it is limited in terms of assessing blood vessel health. Cardiovascular specialists spend considerable effort on evaluating heart function, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms and stress tests, but they are limited in their ability to assess the functional and structural abnormality of the arteries prior to the late phase of arterial obstruction. Beyond the limitations of the data provided, cost and time are often critical factors in consideration of these tests.
The
CVProfilor®:
A powerful As a physician using the CVProfilor® System, you have a powerful new tool and advanced technology providing you with cardiovascular parameters specific to the health of arteries. In minutes, an easy-to-understand report is generated and precise data is available for identifying patients at risk for cardiovascular disease. This non-invasive system is capable of measuring both large and small artery compliance. The CVProfilor® System's sensitivity to early arterial changes provides highly detailed data for assessing whether patients have potential underlying vascular disease, as well as developing an outline of patient-specific risk factors. The CVProfilor® System was developed specifically for use in physicians' offices and clinics in the U.S. and can easily and successfully become an important tool in your current patient evaluation process.
Advanced
technology The CVProfilor® measures a blood pressure waveform produced by the beating heart. Data captured by the CVProfilor® during a patient test is quickly analyzed and reported to provide a clear, concise evaluation tool for physicians. The data provided by the CVProfilor® System include:
Getting started: Simple, quick and painless for physician and patient Your office already has everything you need to begin using the CVProfilor® today, and your patients' comfort and ease during the test is assured. To begin the test, the appropriate patient-specific data is collected through a series of inquiry screens. As your patient reclines comfortably, a blood pressure cuff is placed on the left upper arm and an Arterial PulseWave™ Sensor is placed on the right wrist overlying the radial artery. The instrument's monitor displays the waveform as it is sensed. Once data is collected and analyzed, you simply print the CVProfile™ Report. The CVProfilor® is a portable and easy-to-use complete system that requires no additional accessories or disposable components.

Hypertension Diagnostics, Inc., headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, was founded in July 1988 to develop a proprietary blood pressure waveform analysis methodology into a non-invasive means for measuring the elasticity of large and small arteries. HDI has developed this proprietary analysis technology which has been incorporated into the design of several products produced and manufactured at the Eagan, Minnesota location. The Company is also registered to market the CVProfilor® MD-3000 System, for use by physicians and other health care professionals outside the U.S. Two CVProfilor® instruments are designed for clinical use: The
CVProfilor® DO-2020 CardioVascular Profiling System:
